Welcome to vMaatrix ("we," "our," or "us"). We build modern broadcast control, automation, and remote production tools tailored for live video productions using vMix. This Privacy Policy details how we collect, use, and protect your information when you access our website (https://vmaatrix.web.app), our cloud client portal, and our desktop application.
Crucial Commitment: The vMaatrix desktop application operates locally on your machine and communicates with your vMix software over your Local Area Network (LAN). We never capture, stream, upload, or inspect your video feeds, audio sources, graphics, or live broadcast content to our servers.
1. Information We Collect
We only collect the minimum information required to authenticate your account and securely manage your software licenses:
Account & Profile Information: When you register an account or sign in using Google OAuth or Email/Password, we receive your email address, full name, and profile photo URL.
Licensing & Machine Fingerprint: To prevent software piracy and validate active license tiers (Standard, Pro, Trial, etc.), the vMaatrix desktop client submits a hardware/device identifier (hash) when activating a license.
Support & Communications: When you contact our support channels (e.g., via live support chat or email), we retain your contact details and message history to assist you.
2. Local Desktop Application Operations
The vMaatrix desktop client acts as a high-performance companion controller for vMix:
Connections to vMix (via HTTP/TCP on port 8088 or configured ports) occur strictly on your local computer or private local network.
Remote web controller sessions (lower thirds, audio mixer, camera switchers) communicate directly through local network sockets.
No broadcast credentials, switcher state, or streaming keys are collected or forwarded to third parties.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the data we collect solely for the following business purposes:
To authenticate you and grant access to your cloud license portal.
To activate, manage, renew, or upgrade your software licenses.
To deliver software updates and allow direct downloads of official desktop application releases.
To send critical transactional notifications, such as license key generation, expiration reminders, or security alerts.
To troubleshoot customer support inquiries.
4. Third-Party Infrastructure & Processors
We partner with industry-standard, secure service providers to power our platform:
Google Cloud Platform & Firebase: Provides Google Authentication, user identity management, Firestore database storage for license keys, and serverless Cloud Functions.
